Leveling the Playing Field: NIL Arbitration After House v. NCAA - June 18th 2025
Duration: 1 hour
Time: 12:30 - 1:30 PM (Central Time)
Location: Online via Zoom
Program Description:
With the House v. NCAA settlement poised to reshape college athletics, this webinar explores the legal and practical impact on NIL governance and dispute resolution. Attendees will gain a clearer understanding of the House case, its implications for athlete compensation and institutional roles, and the rising potential for NIL-related conflicts.
The program will also introduce the AAA’s Due Process Guidelines for the Arbitration of Sports Participation and Name, Image, and Likeness Disputes and its Supplementary Procedures for the Arbitration of Sports Participation and Name, Image, and Likeness Disputes—designed to provide for fair, fast, and athlete-centered resolution of NIL disputes. Real-world examples will highlight how these tools apply in a post-House landscape, helping schools, collectives, athletes, and brands navigate this new era with confidence.
