Duration: 2.5 hours

Location: New York, NY

Program Description:

Generative AI is changing the business of law, the practice of law, and the ways disputes can be resolved. What that means for international arbitration is likely to evolve as the technology rapidly evolves and as the legal community and the people we serve consider what tasks can be moved upstream, what new processes might make our work more efficient and effective, and what new processes might be better fits for some disputes. The legal community can lead or be led. We believe the future of international arbitration will be stronger with the legal community involved in the evolution. Our panel features the thought leaders in this space who will frame the issues and questions we should all be discussing as we think about this future.

This program will proceed in two parts. Our first Panel will present the state of the technology, use cases for lawyers and arbitrators, and outline the opportunities and challenges ahead. The second Panel will discuss the impact this general-purpose technology will have on business, the practice of law, and dispute resolution.

Bridget M. McCormack, President and CEO, AAA-ICDR® will moderate both panels.
