Program Description:

The American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) and its international division, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution® (ICDR®), created its Global Working Group on Technology and Life Science Disputes to gather feedback on resolving technology, life sciences, and intellectual property disputes (TLI) in those global industries. The Working Group has surveyed more than 500 professionals in information technology, semiconductor, life sciences, construction, energy, aviation, aerospace, and other industries with technology, life sciences, and intellectual property disputes. This conference will include a Hackathon that will feature a few of the Working Group’s recommendations.

In the meantime, the dispute resolution business and the industries surveyed have been disrupted by Generative AI. The AAA-ICDR® has embraced this disruption and launched the AAAiLab, supporting AAA-ICDR users, arbitrators, in-house counsel, and law firms with policy, educational webinars, and GenAI tools, embracing the fast emerging technology impacting the business and the practice of law.

In this conference, we will present the Working Group’s survey results and recommendations and also explore the emerging use of Generative AI in dispute resolution:

  • Exploring the ICDR's Technology and Life Sciences Survey Results.
  • ICDR Survey Recommendations: Recommended Policies, Proposals, and Projects
  • The AAA-ICDR Generative AI Lab: purpose and products
  • Generative AI and Dispute Resolution: where are we headed?

Please note that space availability is limited. Should you need to cancel your registration, a refund of one-half of your registration fee is available 20 calendar days prior to the conference date. We regret that no refunds can be made after that date. Substitutions can be made at any time.
