Commercial Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Ms. Jeskie has been trial counsel in a large number of complex business litigation matters and often serves as a neutral arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association (AAA), Special Master to the Federal Courts and Judge Pro Tempore in the Commerce Court program where she serves as mediator in complex disputes. She is a co-author of chapters in the acclaimed treatise Business and Commercial Litigation in Federal Courts, and The Woman Advocate. Ms. Jeskie is also the former Chair of the Business Law Section of the Bar Association.
Software Litigation and Licensing. Building on her 16 years of experience as a computer scientist, Ms. Jeskie represents clients in complex software litigation arising from software implementation failures and licensing disputes for both software developers and customers. She was trial counsel in one of the largest software implementation disputes when she represented Lockheed Martin in an action against the New York Mass Transit Authority relating to the installation of an electronic security system. Relying on her software background, she is known for her ability to understand and translate the technical details of complex implementations. She also works with clients to negotiate software licenses and on project management issues during on-going software implementations.
Data Privacy and Cybersecurity. Regularly counseling in the complex areas of data privacy and cybersecurity, she has handled numerous data breaches of personally identifiable information (PII) and personal health information (PHI) and handled sophisticated state sponsored attacks. Leveraging a highly cultivated global network, Ms. Jeskie also works with multinational companies on global privacy and data security policy development. She is listed in Best Lawyers in the areas of privacy and data security law.
Information Technology. Relying on her technical background, Ms. Jeskie advises clients on a variety of information technology matters including wearable technology/fashion tech, big data, e-commerce, online advertising and marketing campaigns. She served as President of the International Technology Law Association (ITechLaw), taught as adjunct professor at Rutgers School of Law, recognized in the International Who's Who of Internet and e-Commerce Lawyers, appeared as a commentator on several televised programs and is often quoted in the press.
Intellectual Property and Pharmaceutical Litigation. Ms. Jeskie has become a trusted advisor to companies in the pharmaceutical and other industries where she brings together multidisciplinary teams to protect intellectual property and handle general corporate needs.
International Work. Relying on her varied experience, Ms. Jeskie regularly advises international companies in various aspects of their business and has taught at nearly a hundred professional education conferences in numerous cities around the United States and in fourteen countries in Europe, Asia and South America.
