Presently serves as a professor at Johnson & Wales University, Graduate
Department, in Providence, Rhode Island teaching courses in labor relations and
related human resources courses in the Masters of Human Resources program.
Also, presently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the Lincoln Public
School District in Lincoln, Rhode Island.
Extensive transactional experience advising clients, including unions and
management, through the daily labor relations process, including workplace
investigations; performance assessments; collective bargaining agreements and
employment contracts; and, disciplinary and grievance procedures. Contributed to
the development and implementation of overall labor relations strategies with
respect to multiple bargaining units and non-union workforce. Coordinated the
ADA interactive process.
Provided legal representation at arbitration, administrative agencies, and before
state and federal courts involving issues of contract interpretation, discipline, and
state and federal law. Experience serving on multiple negotiation teams, including
serving as lead negotiator, for both union and management.
