Michael T. McGrath is a member of the firm's executive committee and represents management in all aspects of labor relations, employment law and related litigation. He provides day-to-day counseling on employment matters, litigates in state and federal courts, and represents management before arbitration tribunals and administrative agencies. He also serves as chief spokesperson for management during labor negotiations. Mr. McGrath represents employers in health care, education, manufacturing and service industries. This representation includes counseling employers on the full range of human resource concerns including: employment discrimination and sexual harassment; collective bargaining and labor matters involving unions; merger and corporate restructuring; personnel policy development and administration; independent contractor and employment agreements; wage and hour compliance; and occupational safety and health. Mr. McGrath has lectured on employment law, sexual harassment, disability, discrimination, union avoidance, and other topics to clients and trade associations. Mr. McGrath received his law degree from Albany Law School of Union University in 1980 and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Southern Connecticut State College in 1977. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Second, Third and Tenth Circuit Courts of Appeals and several District Courts including the Southern, Eastern and Northern Districts of New York and the District of Connecticut. He is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bars.
