John M. Finnigan
Primarily engaged in the practice of employment law. Experience includes litigation and administrative agency proceedings in all areas of employment discrimination (race, national origin, gender, same sex/sexual preference, religion, disability, pregnancy and age) and sexual and workplace harassment and retaliation issues under: Title VII; the Florida Civil Rights Act; the Pregnancy Discrimination Act; the Equal Pay Act; the Family and Medical Leave Act; the Fair Labor Standards Act; and, the Americans with Disabilities Act. Practice and experience also includes workplace laws enforced by the U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour agency including: the Fair Labor Standards Act; the Family and Medical Leave Act; the Immigration Reform and Control Act; and, the Employee Polygraph Protection Act.
ADR education and training experience includes: AAA/ICDR Neutrals Conference, 2010; AAA Arbitration Fundamentals and Best Practices for New AAA Arbitrators, 2007; The Florida Bar Center for Dispute Resolution, Certified Mediator Re-Certification, 2006; The Florida Bar Center for Dispute Resolution, 40-Hour Mediator Training Program for Circuit Civil Mediators, 2004; Hillsborough County ADR Program, Mediator Training for Certified County Court Mediators.
