John M. Bishop is a Vice President for the American Arbitration Association. In this role he is responsible for the execution of case management operations for the AAA’s Commercial and Construction divisions in their Southeast and Northeast Case Management Centers. He also has responsibility for all aspects of the Commercial division’s activities in Georgia and Alabama.
He has extensive experience in case management, ADR rule development, process design and claims administration. He played a prominent role in the AAA’s management of the Congressionally mandated Automobile Industry Special Binding Arbitration caseload and continues to oversee the AAA’s operational team for the State of Florida’s Residential Mortgage Mediation program. Mr. Bishop frequently trains new members of the AAA’s Roster of Neutrals and presents on ADR to law firms, corporations and governmental entities.
Mr. Bishop joined the AAA in 1995 and has held a number of executive positions within the organization. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, and is admitted to practice (inactive) in the State of California. He is also a trained mediator.
