Jessica Brown represents public and private sector labor unions and individual employees before state and federal courts and in arbitrations, negotiations and administrative proceedings across a multitude of legal areas. Her work includes client counseling and litigation for plaintiffs and defendants and representation in Equal Opportunity Employment, Fair Labor Standards, Americans With Disabilities and Family Medical Leave matters.
Prior to joining Willig, Williams & Davidson, Jessica was a senior trial attorney at the U. S. Department of Labor, Office of the Solicitor. As a senior trial attorney, Jessica successfully litigated a wide range of matters under federal labor laws, such as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA). Additionally, Jessica litigated the first systemic construction compensation discrimination case enforcing federal regulations prohibiting compensation discrimination by federal contractors.
In furtherance of the firm’s commitment to charitable activities, Jessica serves as a member of the Policy Committee of the Pennsylvania Prison Society and helps the Prison Society formulate its response to policy proposals impacting inmates and those charged with crimes in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
