After registration is confirmed, a separate invitation to the Zoom session will be sent to attendees.

Whether given orally at the close of a hearing or in writing as a post-hearing brief, the primary function of the closing argument is to make it as easy as possible for the arbitrator to reach a favorable determination.

During this training, an experienced AAA® Arbitrator and two skilled professionals will discuss how and when to use closing arguments and/or brief writing to effectively conclude your case.

The speakers will also address:

• How to write an effective closing statement
• Tips and techniques for the best briefs
• What arbitrators need regarding closing arguments and briefs

AAA EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE
As part of its long-standing, ongoing educational mission, the American Arbitration Association grants a limited number of scholarships that cover the cost of educational program registration. To request a registration fee scholarship, please send an email to Scholarships@adr.org. Include your current position and affiliation, and a brief description of the basis for your registration fee scholarship request. The American Arbitration Association reserves the right to grant or deny any request based on the information provided by the requesting individual and available space in the program.

If you are an AAA Panelist please note this program does not satisfy your annual Arbitrator Continuing Education requirement.

CLE Information:

West LegalEdcenter is procuring continuing legal education (CLE) credits on behalf of American Arbitration Association. This program is pending approval for CLE credits in Ohio. Credit amounts vary by attendance verification and jurisdictional rules and cannot be confirmed in advance of the program.
